Chinwe Okoro, DPT, is a trained and board-certified Doctor of Physical Therapy at Dabbs Rehab Center of MD in Columbia, Maryland. She is devoted to providing the highest quality care to all patients at the Chiropractic and Rehabilitative Care Center.
Dr. Okoro specializes in outpatient physical therapy services. She has lived in the Maryland area for over five years.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was also a track and field athlete. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical therapy from Bellarmine University, Louisville.
Dr. Okoro has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics, treating neuromuscular conditions, surgical and non-surgical conditions, sports, balance training, overuse injuries, and strengthening. She enjoys educating patients about their current condition and develops individualized treatment plans to assist patients in returning to their goals and activities.
Her treatments typically are one-on-one and incorporate both manual therapy and therapeutic exercise/activity to assist patients in reaching their goals.
Dr. Okoro is an active believer in physical fitness, and in her spare time, she has participated in Crossfit, boxing, pilates, yoga, and track and field. Apart from holding several titles and awards, in 2008, she represented team USA in the Junior Olympics for shotput, and in 2016 team Nigeria in the Olympics for the discus throw in track and field.
